Personal Funeral Planning

Safe ~ Confidential ~ Non-Judgemental

How would you like to be remembered at the completion of your life’s journey?

In my work as a trained nurse and as a member of the funeral industry, I have been at the bedside of the dying, assisted bereaved families and respectfully helped many brave people organise their own funeral.

Traditionally many people find talking openly with their family about their death or their funeral…imminent or in the future…difficult to navigate. Some believe their family won’t cope; others that by talking about such matters, they will somehow bring on their own demise.

This is misguided thinking. The fact is, unless one leaves some instructions or expresses one’s wishes to someone trustworthy, family can often be left wondering what to do, especially so if there is a sudden death. We all know families can be complex. Within them, relationships can be difficult and opinions can differ. All these differences and difficulties can rise up with strong emotions during the organising of a funeral.

In daring to confront the fact that one day you will die, and then by way of preparation, leave instructions and requests, an inner peace can be found. For it is in taking some responsibility for the way you would like to be remembered, you can feel strengthened and comforted.

And for those you leave behind who want the best for you, they will feel this comfort too. Please contact me if I can be of assistance to you. I will spend time with you, write up your instructions and present the information in a non complex way ready to be filed with your Will and other important papers.

As a well spent day brings happy sleep - so a life well spent brings happy death.
